> Cozy is a private journaling app for Mac and Windows (mobile coming). Your entries live on your own computer as plain text files — no cloud, no account, no subscription, and no AI reading your words. They stay yours to keep and yours to share with whoever you want.

- Local-first: every entry is a plain text file in a folder you own. Open it with any app, back it up however you like, keep it forever.
- Private by design: no server, no login, no internet required. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is fed into AI.
- One-time payment: $35 once for the desktop app (one license covers all your Macs and Windows PCs). The mobile app will be $12 once. No subscription, ever.
- Runs on macOS 12 (Monterey) or later and Windows 10 or later.
- Made by Alberto Gallego, an independent software maker building Cozy on his own.
- Features: ambient music and mechanical keystroke sounds while writing; tags, mood, location, and custom fields per entry; photo, video, and audio attachments; a writing mode for focus.
