About a month ago, I started working on the first version of Cozy.
And today’s the day. The beta is ready. I’m equally excited and scared, but here we go.
If you’d rather skip the rest, you can download Cozy from the link below.
- Apple Silicon — M1 or newer.
- Intel — pre-2020 Macs.
Useful info you’ll probably need
The app will be free during the beta. I don’t have an end date, so use it as much as you want. I want to collect as much feedback as possible, and every time I improve the app, you’ll get an update.
For feedback, you have two options: come find me at home, or send me an email at [email protected]. I think the second one is easier, but it’s up to you.
And no worries about remembering the email. Once you’re inside the app, you’ll see a “Send Feedback” button that handles it for you.

So… what happens when the beta ends?
Let’s talk about money.
When the beta closes, Cozy will be $35 as a one-time payment. I’ve tried to find a balance between fairness and sustainability, and here’s how it works:
Buy it once and use Cozy on as many devices as you want. No limits.
Your license will also work on Windows once that version is available.
Major upgrades (Cozy 2.0, 3.0, etc.) will be paid updates if you choose to upgrade.
Now, here’s the good part.
As a waitlist member, you’ll be able to get Cozy for $19 instead of $35 when it launches, if you decide to buy (no pressure). On top of that, you’ll get lifetime updates, so this would be the last time you pay.
Not a bad deal.
What about the mobile version?
Many people told me that without a mobile version they don’t want to use it. Not many, but enough.
I’m on that boat here, but for now I’m very focused on the Mac version.
But no worries—I’m committed to this project (I even renewed my Apple Developer subscription), so once I get enough feedback and officially launch the desktop version, I’ll start working on the mobile version for both iOS and Android.
And how would pricing work?
I’ve been thinking about it, and the initial price for the mobile app would be $12. Just like with desktop, I’ll launch a free beta before the official release.
Why do I need to pay for both desktop and mobile?
Well, because many people will only use one of them. If I bundled both, I’d have to raise the price to include something you might not even want.
This way, if you only want mobile, you don’t pay for desktop, and vice versa.
I think it’s fair, but if not, let me know.
I hope you get a chance to try it and send some feedback.
