I'm Alberto Gallego, and I build Cozy on my own.
I've kept a journal since 2019. I built Cozy because I wanted a private place to write, not another app quietly collecting what I put into it. Everything you write stays on your own device, as plain files in a folder you choose. There's no server, no account, and no AI reading over your shoulder. That's the whole point.
Cozy is a one-time $35 purchase with no subscription, and it covers every Mac and Windows PC you own, with the iPhone and iPad app included. The phone app is its own app rather than a shrunken desktop one. That includes a year of updates; after that your version keeps working forever, exactly as it is. Android comes after.
The company
Cozy is made by Cantimplora Studio LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with registered address at 30 N Gould St, Suite R, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, USA. It's the company name on the invoice; behind it, it's still just me. You can see what else I'm working on at albertogalca.com.
