The day has finally come. Little Cozy now has a companion: the beta of Cozy for iPhone is ready.
Before I share the link, I want to explain a bit about Cozy’s pricing. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to make it fair for both you and me, and I think I’ve found a good balance.
How pricing works from now on
The app will cost $19.99. (Apple requires prices to end in .99, so I can’t use rounded numbers.)
Good news: if you buy the desktop version, the iPhone app is included at no extra cost.
From now on, every license includes one year of updates. After that, the app keeps working forever. If you want another year of updates, you can renew for half the original price. For example, a $35 license would cost just $17 to renew.
Even better: if you’ve already bought Cozy, I’ve automatically upgraded your license to a lifetime license. That means you’ll never have to pay for updates or for the iPhone app. It’s my way of thanking you for supporting Cozy in its early days.
Getting the beta
With that out of the way, if you’d like to install Cozy on your iPhone, you can join the beta through this TestFlight link:
Before you start, please have a look at the documentation I’ve put together for setting up iCloud, so your phone and your computer stay in sync properly.
One more thing: keep a spare copy of your entries somewhere other than where they live now. I’ve been using this myself for weeks and haven’t lost anything, so this isn’t me worrying. Just advice from a friend, and a good habit for anything you keep in the cloud.
